Getting Started

Like 4chan, Floridachan is an image board that allows you to post images and text anonymously. Go to a board that sounds interesting and start exploring. The Overboard will show you all posts across all boards, while the SFW Overboard will only show you clean posts.

Post in Thread mode to start a new thread on a particular board. Try to start original and interesting threads; it's wise to look around the board first before posting. Press Reply on any thread to enter Reply mode, which allows you see to all previous replies and join the conversation. You can reply to specific posts by clicking the post number link; this automatically creates a quote, as described in the Markdown section.

Enter a board and click the star () next to its name to add it to your favorites. Access your favorites from the top menu.

The Webring

The Webring is a coalition of chan sites working together to promote freedom of speech. To access the webring, simply click the glowing button reading "The Webring" that's found at the top of board pages. There you can see a list of all the chan sites and their boards, along with relevant information such as how many posts have been made and when the last activity was.

To use a tripcode, add a # in your name. After the #, add the password for the tripcode.

The server will apply a hash to the password and display the hashed password.

To use a secure tripcode, add ## in your name and a password. A secure tripcode will generate a random text to be displayed that will only be used if your password matches.

Role signature

If you wish to display your global or board role when posting, you can put #rs in your name, like a tripcode, case insensitive. This will prevent you from using a tripcode.

You can also enable an always use role signature rule in your account settings.

When posting you can use some tools that will enhance its text in HTML.

If you add a > in the start of a line, it will greentext the text until it finds a new line.
